Hello,
Could someone answer my following queries re: ILR application please?
1. I'm on tier 2 general visa valid through October 2019 but my 5 years in Tier 2 general visa completes in October 2018. Can I switch to ILR this year without waiting to expire my current visa (Valid through Oct 2019)?
2. If the answer for the above question is yes then which is the earliest date I can apply for ILR? I presume July 2018?
3. My salary was below the required limit of £35k unitl April 2018. I changed the company in April 2018 and now I have more that £35k salary. My question is How long should i have this salary of 35k and above before applying for ILR?
4. Documentation for Absence from UK. I can get a letter from my current employer re: my absence from the current job but it has been just 4 months I'm working for this company. Do i have to get an absence letter from my last company for the duration i worked there? or is it enough if i write a cover letter referring to the entry and exit stamps to the UK in my passport?
thank you very much in advance..
Best regards

1. Yes you can
2. 28 days before your 5 years are completed. e.g. Tier 2 issued on 28 July 2013 eligible from 1 July 2018
3. There isn't a time limit, but the fact you started at £35k very close to what is minimum required, might be a raised, if other people in the company are similarly paid, shouldn't be an issue.
4. You need a letter from both the companies
P.S. all this is based on what I have read on this forum as I will apply in oct/nov 18

This should not be a problem because the new salary is from a new company

Yes, that's right. The new salary is from the new company. Thank you for the reassurance
