Hi All,
I'm working in the UK for a Tier 2 A-rated sponsor under the shortage occupation list for 2 years and my wife is planning to join me by the end of August. I was recently going to make the application for her (she is outside of the UK) this week but I encountered the following problem.
The company I was sponsored by (Company A) was acquired by another company (Company B) in January this year, both of which are still listed in the register of licensed sponsors. All the employees on a Tier 2 visa who were employed in Company A are now in the process of being transferred to the license of Company B. There have been some confusions with the Home Office where they keep going back and forth with the company asking for more documents. The process is still going on up until today.
Can my wife apply for a Tier 2 dependant visa whilst this transfer is still happening or do I need to wait until all of this sorted out? (In the application they ask for the company license number so I am not sure which license to use)
I'm currently very stressed out because our wedding date (20 August) cannot be changed and we have arranged for some holidays from the UK so I want to apply for her visa ASAP. I never thought this was going to be an issue because the acquisition happened 7 months ago, so this should have been sorted out then, and I was not informed about any of this by my company up until now.
Any help and advice regarding this matter is highly appreciated as I am pressed for time at the moment.
Best regards
