Help!! Husband only has green card, what does wife need to apply for

This is on my friends behalf.

Her husband is a Green Card holder, they've been married 1 year + now and she doesn't know how to get her legal status through him, in fact she thinks its impossible.

Has this been done before, anyone? Please?
Help me find out how she can apply for something and what she can apply for

awaiting your response.
