HELP! Visa Processing Center not in my Country

Post by praveencostarica » Sat Jul 14, 2018 5:28 pm

Hi,

I live in Costa Rica, and there is no Visa Processing Center here. The UK government website says that I need to go to either Panama or Colombia.

My main question is,

Do I need to submit my original passport for visa stamping?
If I travel to Panama from Costa Rica to submit all the documents including my original passport, then how can I return back to Costa Rica without a passport?
Will I be stuck in Panama till I receive my passport after Visa stamping, which could take 3+ weeks?

Any assistance/guidance is much appreciated!!

You should probably consult a professional immigration lawyer on that but I read somewhere that you can request to keep your passport in few circumstances by paying some extra money but again, you should discus it with a lawyer.
