Category A or B? Please advise.

Dear all,

New member looking for answers. Two questions for now.

Option 1: currently working overseas and may return for a new job in September next year providing I have a confirmed job offer. Correct me if I’m wrong but this obviously seems to be Cat A - current employer 6 months or more - person overseas returning to UK.

However...

Option 2: might be a situation where I return to the UK with no job lined up and end up finding a job with variable income perhaps a few months later. I will then apply. Is this Cat B - less than six months, variable income - person residing in UK? Technically I will be back in England making an application long after being overseas in a job less than six months paying a variable income. Seems obvious but someone else has said it’s Cat A - person returning to UK, as above. I’m confused.

Please help!
