I attained ILR (indefinite leave to remain) in September 2011, then went on to complete my university studies abroad and returned to the UK in July of 2012, I have stayed in the UK except for several weeks (for holiday) every year.
I want to apply for settlement and british naturalisation (so I can get the british passport).
Do I still need to do an english competency (B1 level) test?, I passed my Life in the UK test in 2011 and the Life in the UK pass notification letter says this demonstrates my level of competence in English and me meeting the required standard for naturalisation, They also said the home office will be notified of this.
I did an academic form of the IELTS test when I was going to apply for work in the NHS which expired in 2015 and the trinity english competency test 2015 (£150) which I think has an expiry date 2 years after taking it. Not sure if I still need to do another english competency test. Please help?!! and thank you!
