Good evening good people of this forum
Id like some advise as to how likely (or unlikely) it would be for me to be considered a person of good character for my BC application. I know i meet all the other criteria of eligibility and its just the good character one that i might not pass. so going straight to it, my regrets include:
a police caution issued around 2012-2013 (i cant remember the exact date but i have applied for my full police report through ACRO criminal records office so that will hopefully clarify the dates and my further convictions)... it was for possesion of small quantity of drugs (cannabis)
and a double conviction in 2014 that happened as a result of one event: so driving under the influence of drugs and again (( possesion of small quantity of class b i think it is cannabis). It resulted in a fine and a driving ban for 12 months. Now as this conviction is a non custodial conviction; my application will be considered after 3 years of the conviction or the day that the ban has passed (not sure which is correct but nevertheless it has been 3 years since the bans been lifted)
My question therefore is ( and im sorry if i should have posted my story in an exsisting thread somewhere but I thought id start this one so that people with similar circumstances could perhaps share their stories/views) is there any hope for me of getting my BC with these sort of things of my record. I know that it certainly doesnt look good but i have been clean since the day of the conviction and trully regret what i have been doing/ i know it doesnt matter when it comes to the application but just thought id said that. Anybody with similar stories please share your views/experiences please. or should i seek legal help for advice ( a solicitor or something )
Thank you very much.
