Tier 2 Dependant Child visa

Post by abhinavm » Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:01 am

I have apply for Tier 2 Dependant Child visa for my daughter born in UK in May 2018.
My CoS was issued in 2017 and expires in 2021 i.e. more than 3 years category. I shall be able to apply for ILR then.
I wish to apply for my daughter's visa for 3 years only.
Now, when I am applying for my daughter's visa the fee payable is being calculated based my CoS i.e more than 3 years. It does not give me option to choose the duration of visa. It links it to my CoS information and calculates the fee which £1408 rather than £704. Is there a way around?

Dependent visa will be link to you (Main applicant) so no way around it. If you are not travelling then wait this year and apply next year which will be within 3 years. Hope this helps.
