I want to understand the date I am eligible for ILR

Post by umredkarsandeep » Wed Jul 18, 2018 11:55 am

Hi All,
I first came on 9th November 2013. That was short assignment for few days and went back on 22nd Dec 2013. As that was short assignment I did not have pay roll transfer rather it was on perdiem basis. I later came in 26 April 2014 on long term and had payroll transfer and continued here. I always have been on the same visa. My visa was stamped in July 2013. I needed to understand what date would I be eligible for ILR. My visa is TIER 2 general from the starting. Could you please help me with this query?

So you have no pay leave from DEC 2013 - APRIL 2014??? This is not allowed. But anyway, if you renewed this should be disregarded.

Better count from APR 2014 for 5 years.

Thanks for the reply. Actually not unpaid leave as I was in the same company and working on the same assignment from India. So is there a way 28 days before 9th November. ?

It is allowed.. Get letter from employer stating that you have been relocated to india for same assignment for that period. ( Or just use word business travel to india). Then it shud not be a problem
