T2 to IRL: Check whether need B1 English test

Post by Nickkk » Sun Jul 22, 2018 9:23 am

Dear friends

Could someone help to confirm as I heard different answers?
I am T2 migrant which means I already proved my English level in my previous applications.
However, I am not using ielts test which is not in authorised English test list.

Do I really need to spend 150pounds to have another B1 test for ILR application?

How did you prove English language competence in the previous application(s)?

If it was through a non-IELTS English test which was accepted at the time, but is not on the list of approved tests now, then yes, you need to give the test again through an approved test centre.

Thanks trueblue19, Yes, it's non-IELTS English test which is called Pearson test of english(PTE).
It's accepted in my previous T2 general visa in 2013 but not in the list of approved tests now.
