Hi,
I have been following this forum for a long time and found it always useful. the discussion and the first hand experience was useful to me throughout the last 9 years here in the UK.
This is my first post in this forum so please advice me if I have done something wrong
I would like to gets advice/ opinion in regard to my case
My mum who is non-EEA and has non-EEA RC Nov 2013-Nov 2018. She initially tried to settle with me but unfortunately she did not like staying for long time here and she has been travelling in and out between Uk and Iraq. She would not eligible for PR because she had spent long periods of time (>6months) outside the UK.
She is finically dependent on us but we don't have the evidence of money transfer because it is usually done through acquaintance and relatives going to and back from Iraq.
I started application for another non-EE RC but was struck by the new requirement in regard to financial dependency. I don't have these evidences unfortunately. I have therefore did not apply for two reasons
1. no evidence
2. I assume non-EEA RC will expire in March 2019 post Brexit.
As her non-EEA RC will expire in Nov 2018, she has to go back to Iraq.
I am uncertain on the ways/ available routes in which my mum can apply to come back.
What is the settlement agreement for EEA post Brexit would be? Would be better if she apply again for EEA Family permit before Brexit and then stay here after March if there is better deal?
I have been granted PR Aug 2017. I have lived in the Uk since 2009.
2009-2010 working FT
2010-2012 Student ( no comprehensive sickness cover) Was not aware of this requirement therefore my proper residency start again from 2012
2012- present working FT
Any advice would be appreciated.
