I guys. I called the UKVI contact centre and according to them if you have the form printed you can fill it and take it to your appointment. I did a little bit of my own research after you said about 21 days for using the old forms and it seems this is accurate information. A form can be used 21 days after a new version has come out. In a way that makes sense because this will take it to end of November and that's when the old format is meant to finish. Best of luck guys with your appointments.sp123rash wrote: ↑Sun Nov 11, 2018 11:51 amI am also in the same situation. I had been trying for an appointment for almost a month and finally booked an appointment for FLR(M) form on 9th for 22nd November. Did not realise the form had been updated.shukjag wrote: ↑Sat Nov 10, 2018 11:36 pmMy appointment is on 29 Novzonaib1985 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 10, 2018 10:23 pmWhen is your appointment shukjag? I think it will be more clear when people start calling the call centre on Monday. I know I will be calling haha. I think appointment is still valid but just not sure about the application form.
I talked to a solicitor and she confirmed that the old form can still be used for up to 21 days after the new form is released.
So I think I can still use the old form for my appointment.
Please keep us posted about any development in this.
Hi nomie200031, thank you so much for the link and four confirming what you think is the right way forward. I’m hoping to chat with an immigration lawyer that I touched base with 2 weeks ago, she advised to call her this week once she has a bit more info on what is going on with the new online system! I think if we book within this 28 days before, we might be ok. I’m guessing if we start booking 45 days before it might be a bit too soon? I am having major anxiety over this because I don’t want to lose 3019£ as well! I think if you’re qualifying period starts on dec 24..you should be ok to apply as of Nov 29...(which is 28 days before)...I’m going by the fact that home office service points will be open as of Dec 28 after Xmas ...bloody holidays!!nomie200031 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 12:51 amHi Allyf,
Thanks for sharing the information. Yeah I have also read about the 28 days on the official Sopra Steria website which would mean I wont be able to book an appointment before the end of November in order to make an appointment after 24th December. To clear this issue I have also made an enquiry to them on the same website. They also have a support line but the charges are £2.50 for that. I have also emailed to the front desk contact which I found in one of the forms for this query. FrontEndServicesTeam at homeoffice.gov.uk
Hopefully I will hear back from them soon. I don't want to risk paying £3018 for super priority service on UKVisas website until I am sure if I can make a booking now after 24th December. Please post for any update on this issue. I will update once I have heard back from them otherwise I will try calling on premium support line number.

this is the exact opposite to what others have been told, for example:neilajgaonkar wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 2:26 pmHi all
Just got a reply from my lawyer and has confirmed 'The date of online form submission will be considered as date of application by the Home Office''. So please adjust according to 28 day period. As usual please confirm with you immigration adviser/lawyer before proceeding. Good luck!

Thanks for the update. Does you lawyer mean that we shouldn't submit an application and pay the fees until we reach the qualifying period of 28 days before completing the 10 year period. It used to be the rule that the appointment could be anytime after the qualifying period but to book an appointment it could be done 45 business days before the qualifying period of 10 years. Please can you elaborate or clarify from your lawyer further about this if possible. Thanks again.

Hi Dilse,
Sorry I think my earlier post disappeared. THe link to submit the application and pay the online fees is https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... nt-booking
PLease make sure you confirm everything before paying as I haven't paid myself just to make sure about everything including appointment.
You cannot use the old premium service system to book appointment sun December. The old system and centres are closing on 29th November.dilse4srk wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 3:51 pmStrange thing is, i am using the same link which you sent, but i am getting fee as 2999, i am on initial stage yet where i keep on getting a message, no appointments for next 45 days, i am wondering how will i proceed to filling up the application form?nomie200031 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 3:32 pmdilse4srk wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 3:27 pmnomie200031 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 2:42 pm

I guess you have created your online account before Nov, If that is the case then create a new account and you will find the notorious online application form there.dilse4srk wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 3:51 pmStrange thing is, i am using the same link which you sent, but i am getting fee as 2999, i am on initial stage yet where i keep on getting a message, no appointments for next 45 days, i am wondering how will i proceed to filling up the application form?nomie200031 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 3:32 pmdilse4srk wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 3:27 pmnomie200031 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 2:42 pm

Hi nomie200031...ugg now I’m very confused after reading neilajgaonkar post that the online submission has to be with the qualifying period. I really hope this is not the case! Will it be easy to find an appointment that close in advance..I feel it won’t be! We have Xmas and new year to contend with as well Plus, what is the point of sopra steria making note of “28 days before” unless they are referring to the within qualifying period ?nomie200031 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 2:38 pmHi Allyf, allyf wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 1:56 pmHi nomie200031, thank you so much for the link and four confirming what you think is the right way forward. Thanks for the update. I hope even if its 28 days maximum in advance to book an appointment its 28 days from the start of qualifying period not 28 days from completion of 10 year period which will be even further for us. As neilajgaonkar has posted below that date of online submission is to be considered as date of application that means we shouldn't submit an application until the end of December in that case. I doubt that will be the case because previously the earliest we could book an appointment was 45 business days from the start of qualifying period which was again 28 days from completing the ten year period. This is more confusing now. I think the new visa centres should be back to service from 27th December hopefully.
I think Avy18 response answers everyone's question, if you pay the fees and submit the form online, it is considered as 'Application made'. Now the caseworker will wait for documents to arrive and biometrics to be be done before making a decision which happens only after appointment date. In this case the date of application will be date of payment completed. 45 day rule was for appointment only. You never made an application before appointment date so the problem never came up. But the new system works akin to the old postal system. So be careful. @Avy18 I suggest you include a cover letter explaining the situation to the caseworker, it will work in your favor since it is a new system. Good luck!Avy18 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 4:42 pmI am using a new system UKVCAS I will be eligible for ILR long term as on 26/11/2018.
I made a premium service appointment for 27/11/2018 at Manchester.I made a payment and book apointment on 10/11/2018.
However today I received an email from HO saying thanks for your application they have received it and will be considered.
I am very worried if they considered it from 10/11/2018. I will not be eligible.
Paid approx £3000. No one seems to know whats going on.
Avy18 fingers crossed there are no issues and Hopefully a cover letter will suffice if you applied too early. Please do keep us posted if you can on the outcome.Avy18 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 4:42 pmI am using a new system UKVCAS I will be eligible for ILR long term as on 26/11/2018.
