Removal of a Representative from a Sponsorship Licence

Post by Quriosity » Fri Jul 27, 2018 9:34 pm

Dear all

I would very much appreciate your advice on the procedure to remove a representative from a sponsorship licence (with no replacement being appointed). I read the guidances but I am still not sure whether I got it right.

We had a law firm acting as our representative in our sponsorship licence. As we have now restructured our legal function we filed a request to remove the law firm via SMS.

I would like to clarify the following:

1) Am I correct that it is not obligatory to have a representative as long as we have a key contact, an authorised officer and a level 1 user? We simply don’t need a representative.

2) Am I correct that no submission form and no documents should be sent to the Home Office on that occasion as we do not appoint any new representative, there will be none. The confusion comes from the fact that after I filed a request to remove a representative via SMS a submission form appreared.

Many thanks in advance.

You certainly don't have to have a rep; many sponsors don't.

The submission sheet may just be for your files; it should say so though.
