No Right to work after got ILR refusal on 5 year basis and reply apply for 10 year route

Hi All, i need a suggestion plz. i came to uk april 2008 as student in derby university, after finishing I got 2 years international graduate scheme visa and than after I applied and got 2+3 years HSMP, after finishing hsmp i applied for ILR and after 2 years of submitting my application in April 2018 home office refuse my application, during this tenure I finished 10 years legally in Uk just a week before home office decision so I applied for 10 years long term residency, today I got a call from my work place that I got negative result after they check my ECS which means I am not allowed to work but when I spoke to my solicitor they mentioned me that home office is doing any possible cause by taking any strict measure to get rid of people from this country and they have contacted them and i have wait for their reply and cant come back to work which is fully insane. before when i applied in 2016 till 2018 and I haven’t got previous refusal my workplace used to check my ECS after every 6 months and they got positive result, I never been stay even 1 day illegal in this 10 years, been to my country only 2 times for less then 60 days. My wife is here from the past 8 years and I have my one child who born here and is 6 years old, we applied for my wife and my child application separately on 5 year long term residency basis.plz help me to find the best solution as I am really stressed and scared. Thanks in advance for your advice.

A day before i find a letter from Home office that they find some complex issue in my case which i believe is a standard letter and they will take more than six months for result, my question is until i don't get result which could take 6 months or more than a year and i dont have right to work how i can feed my family and pay all my house bills, direct debits etc.?? is there any way to approach to home office so they allow me to work or make decision faster so at least i can feed my family until final result came. thank you

That's very unfortunate! But why they refused your 5 years ILR? I mean in what was the reason behind!

They refuse because of some tax amendments which i made when i apply first time for HSMP.
