Second standard visitor visa

Post by htid » Thu Aug 02, 2018 6:52 pm

Hi,

My girlfriend is Chinese and I am British by birth. She had a 2 year standard visitor visa which expires in January 2019. She said she's read that she can't apply for another for 6 months after this one expires. I've scoured the net but can't find any information on this. Does anybody have any information?

Thanks
Chris

How long has she spent in the UK as a visitor?

She's visited 4 times over the 2 years, each time between a week and 10 days. She's never overstayed her visa and we've never had any problems at all.

In which case I can see no reason why she would need to wait 6 months before applying for the next visitor visa.

Also I should add that she has a full time long term job there, savings and 2 properties (which is the same as last time she applied). The only negative I can see is that last time she was married and when she re-applies she'll be divorced.
