Documents (payslips, P60) requested for RCoS

Currently I am working as ICT Tier 2 dependent and my company is trying for sponsorship. Recently they were requested by HO to provide 3 payslips and P60. Just wondering why they would request such documents as for them I should be new hire. Could someone explain this please?
