Belgian-born US citizen wants Belgian/EU passport

Hello,

This is my first post here. I was born to US born, US citizen parents in Belgium in the 1980s. We moved back to the US when I was 1 year old, and I have since been a US citizen.

I am interested in getting a Belgian or EU passport. How do I go about doing this? Would I have to join the Belgian army?

Being born in Belgium (to foreign parents) does not make you a Belgian citizen, sorry.
