home office contact student finance?

home office contact student finance?

i have applied for ILR, i have 3 years x 2 discretionary leave to remain, i have told them i am at university and sent student finance letters with the amount my tuitiona and maintenance loan on.
is it heard of for the home office to contact student finance regarding my application?
this is just me being curious
