TIER2 General-5 Year period calculation

Hi All,

Could you please anyone suggest me when will my 5 year continuous period completes for ILR under TIER2 general visa.

I have switched to T2General in-country from T2ICT in Jan 2014 .

My T2General BRP valid from 10th Jan 2014
But my employment with T2Genral Sponsor started 30th April 2014,which is actually after 110 days of my initial BRP issue date(all this time i was in-country and serving my 3 months notice period in T2ICT company)

My Questions are
-My 5 year period will start from 10th Jan 2014 or 30th April 2014?
-As i was working for my T2ICT company (serving 3 months notice period,paying my Tax and NI from this comapany)even after the new visa approved,will this be seen as breach of Immigration rules?
