Made a mistake in my interview (UK Tier 4) -- is this okay?

Post by ananya99 » Wed Aug 15, 2018 12:55 pm

I had my visa appointment yesterday -- everything else in my application is perfect, all the documents are correct, etc., and I think I was reasonably confident during the interview too.

Only problem -- when she asked me for the course start and end dates, I slipped up and said the end date would be "around 26 July 2022" instead of "27 June 2022".

Is this likely to cause my application to get rejected?

No! You are really overthinking it.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.

It is very rare, but I have seen cases of refusal use mishaps like this to support their refusal. Basically, if they don't think you're a genuine student, they will use this mistake against you (amongst their main conviction) but it won't be their main reason for refusal.

But seeing as you're confident and it was your only mistake, you should be fine! :D

What mistake? Not that it matters a jot, but OP's answer was natural, normal and correct.

I tried to edit my answer but I wasn't able to, I meant to say "slip up" (as OP put it) instead of "mistake". In any case, you're absolutely correct. OP should be fine! :D
