EXTENSION GRANTED -- After 16 months Finally

Post by abhikant » Wed Aug 15, 2018 2:11 pm

Hi All,

TIER1 E EXTENSION GRANTED -- After 16 months Finally

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED AND GAVE ADVICE. I am posting this for people like me ..to show what happened with me and my timelines. ALL I WOULD SAY IS THERE IS STILL HOPE ...so don't give up.

I had been waiting for my extension for almost 16 months. My timeline is as following
First grant April 2014, 50 k route.
Applied for extension in April 2017
Complex letter May 2017
Interview December 2017
IHS refund for 1 extra year fees ... Jan 2018
No MP involved...but used a solicitor for my case.
TIER 1 E extension now received for 2 more years.
I am due my ILR in April 2019. So will do ILR application in March 2019.

Any advice and rules changes i will keep reading on this forum.

Thanks a lot.
Abhi

TIER1E Extension just received....but have a very good TIER 2 offer to switch ..Please advise.

Post by abhikant » Wed Aug 15, 2018 2:20 pm

Hi All,

TIER1E EXTENSION GRANTED -- After 16 months Finally and I was already preparing to switch to Tier 2 in case the extension is not granted...as I had waited long enough ... I did my extension application in April 2017.

So I have a question to ask the legal people here...

I have had this very tempting offer of a salary of more than 100k on Tier 2 General from a BIG 4 Consulting firm and they are ready to issue me a COS asap.

Should I consider making this switch now? ....my ILR is due in April 2019 ?? (i wish to only do this so I get ILR faster and Sureshot on Same day appointment in March 2019)

Will my time on Tier 1 entrepreneur since April 2014 till now be counted and added to time on Tier 2 and I can still do my ILR in March/April 2019?

Please inform as I don't wish to do anything which will make my life difficult.

Let me know your thoughts, please.

Thanks a lot, heyaheya. Yes, they sent by courier and I got all my BRP's and letter of acceptance in the same mail in a big bundle with most company documents returned.

You can switch now. Your Tier 1 time will be counted towards the Tier 2 ILR

THANKS @MARCNATH.

Is the HO treating such cases with suspicion ? will getting the ILR smoother if I continue with Tier 1Extension or I do the TIER 2 switch ?? ...i know there is no definite answer ...but please tell if you have ideas or experience hearing from others who might have done so.

As mentioned i am tempted by the 1-day priority appointment of Tier 2 ILR ....rather than another postal application and long expected wait for the TIER1E ILR

if you have any ideas on this please inform. it will help me.

No, I don't have any specific opinion here
