I am a foreign national resident in the UK, with Indefinate Leave to Remain (ILR).
I went to change jobs, and this was refused, as my ILR is an expired passport.
I had to upgrade to a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP), under a No Time Limit (NTL) application. I have received confirmation that this is being processed via the postal route, with a case ID for tracking.
I applied for an upgrade to Premium Service and enclosed the correct paperwork, and payment information. I received an email back which said my upgrade request has been refused, and that my application will be dealt with via the postal route.
No explanation has been given, and I'm concerned that this process could take six months. I currently cannot move jobs, and am at risk of losing the role offered at the new company.
Should I wait for upgrade, or try to submit another application for Premium Service? There appears to be no way of finding out why my application for Premium Service was refused, or anyone to speak to.
