10-year ILR shortfall of 2 days (all other requirements met)

Post by uuwtub » Thu Aug 16, 2018 12:09 pm

Hi all

I find the information on this forum very useful.
And now I have a question regarding my 10-year ilr application.

I entered the UK on the 21st of Sep 2008 (overseas visa that was valid from 21st Aug 2008).
If I understood the HO policy correctly, my 10 years mark would be on the 21st of September 2018.
The policy also says that people could apply 28 days before the 10-year mark which gives the earliest possible date to apply for ilr as the 24th of August 2018.
My current visa will expire on the 21st of August, which is only 2 days earlier than the earliest date for this application.

Based on your experience, do you think it will be accepted? If there’s a high risk, would you please advise on how to proceed? (Would a visa variation work?).

Thank you !
