Spouse visa financial requirements

Post by Silvasilva » Tue Jul 24, 2018 5:05 pm

Hello,
I hope someone may help me. I’m on spouse visa in UK. My visa is due to be expired in September. I am going to apply for extension, however my husbands financial situations has dramatically changed over the last 2 years. My husband was a director of a limited company and his income was very good. Now he is going bankrupt. He still works in the same industry , but he has been working as self employed since this April. I work in a big network company . I worked directly from this February and worked there since November 2017 but I was paid trough agency. My salary is 16000 per year + bounces. I only worked there for 8 months in total so I earned myself 10400 before tax. My husband earnes at least 800 pounds a week. Is there any posibility to combine this income to meet minimum income. I am on maternity leave from May so don’t bring any money in anymore. Our baby is an English citizen. Is there is any chance my visa will be accepted considering this? I’m so afraid that I will be forced to leave the country, as I can’t take my baby with me as he doesn’t have a passport yet and he is a brestfeed. Any advice will be helpful. Many thanks

If you are unable to meet the minimum income level, submit a FLR(FP) PARTNER application.

The FLR(FP) Parent route is only for couples who are living separately.

What type of visa should I apply for

Post by Silvasilva » Sat Aug 18, 2018 5:41 pm

Hi,
I hope you can help me.
My spouse visa is about to end in less that 2 weeks time. I’ve recently had a baby with my husband . Our not perfect relationship got even worse after I brought the baby home from a hospital. As he knew visa was coming to the end his behavior became absolutely horrible, he constantly put me under a stress and verbal abuse. He treatening me to take a child of me and kick me out of the country. I experienced this abuse almost 3 years. Twice police was called but I never pressed any charges. A year ago my neighbors called the police . Now he refuses to extend my visa. I’m on mAternity leave so I have no money to rent a house and support myself. I’m still in the same house with him, but we sleep and leave in a different rooms. I can borrow money from my family to apply for visa, but I just do not know what way to go as it will be all my family savings. I’m too afraid to loose my baby as he is only 2 months old. My baby is a british citizen and I can’t take him back to my country as my husband won’t let me. What should I do? Please I am crying for help.
