Mother eufam birth cerificate

Post by topshot12 » Sat Aug 18, 2018 8:40 pm

Hi all,

I am planning to apply EUFAM for my dependent mother. My birth certificate was issued 10 years ago( 32 years after my birth) . Would that be acceptable or I need to provide DNA test as well for the proof of relationship.

Many thanks in advance

The birth certificate alongside your passport and your mother’s passport showing the same surnames should suffice applying for the EUFAM.

In my case I submitted my personal certificate and a Family tree certificate (I happened to have it with me by chance) alongside copy of my passport and parent’s passport confirming the relationship and they never asked for further proof.

If INIS wants further evidence as proof of relationship then they’ll ask but it is not compulsory you provide a DNA test.

All the best
