Already have ILR so need BRP - processing time

Post by KiwiCarter68 » Fri Aug 24, 2018 6:03 am

Hi there, I have had ILR since 2002 so no issues there. However I went to change jobs and the recruitment company says that I need a BRP which was news to me as my ILR is in an expired passport. Anyway the main point is how long would one have to wait to get this if I already have ILR?

My timeline is:
Application sent 28/05/2018 (postal)
Payment taken 31/05/2018
Confirmation letter 07/06/2018
Completed biometrics 12/06/2018

I have had no information since and ask how do you track your case. I cannot travel nor change jobs due to this. Any advice welcomed. Thanks

Employers can check online for your right to work. Can’t you talk to them and submit the BRP later once received. Sorry don’t know abt processing time but just commented coz it seems like a lot waste of time and wages for you and quite silly on their part. Recruitment companies usually go out of their way to be accommodating.

Hi Kiwi,

I am also in the same situation holding ILR from a long time and what documents did you submit for the BRP..? Please share your experience.
