Error in Tier 2 Application

Hi everyone,

I fear I've made a very silly (and very expensive) error.

I am applying for a Tier 2 visa and made an error in my online application form that I only picked on after I'd paid the visa fee, IHS fee, and booked an appointment date.

After reading the advice on the application website that said it wasn't possible to amend an application after I'd submitted it and paid the fees, I cancelled the application (requesting a refund) and started the process again.

However, after seeing other responses on this board I see that other people simply hand-amended their application.

Did I do the wrong thing? I'm now anxious that the visa fee and IHS fee for my first application won't be refunded ...

Any reassurance/advice welcome.
