BRP-NTL application-Travel Abroad

Hi,
I have ILR in my expired Indian passport and it was granted to me in 2011 so I don't have BRP. I have been travelling in and out of the country without any problems.
I want to change my job and the recruiting agency told me I must have BRP as I have ILR in expired passport. Now I have applied for premium BRP-NTL service which is next week.
My question is, I need to travel abroad urgently in 2 weeks and it takes at least 7-10 days to get BRP card.
Do I need to wait for the BRP card before I travel? (or is it ok as I have ILR in my passport and can collect BRP after my return from abroad)
