Step daughter settlement

Good morning.
I need some advice please as to whether my step daughter who is 11 years old can now apply for settlement in the UK.

Mum and step daughter both Thai.
I'm a British citizen.

My wife has a sole custody document for her and the father left my wife before the daughter was born.

My wife has recently been granted Indefinate leave to remain (23/3/18) in the UK under the 6 year discretionary route based on the right to a family life.

My step daughter was initially granted 3 yrs llr in March 2012 at the same time as my wife's flr application. However on the next application my wife was granted a further 3 yrs on the discretionary route but my step daughter was only granted 2.5 yrs as HO decided to switch her to a 10 yr route.


This meant that we had to apply for a further 2.5 yrs for my step daughter in February 2017, 6 months before my wife made her ilr application.

Can my daughter now apply for settlement based on her mum's settlement status or does she have to continue on the 10 yr route?
