Hello, my wife has is a Russian national with ILR since 2012, i am a British national. we want to visit an EU country for a holiday (weekend, 2-3 days) i have lived in the Republic of Ireland (9 years) and i have visited Holland and Spain. My question is, can my wife visit an EU country with me without having to obtain a Schengen Visa.

Russian nationals need to apply for a Schengen Visa before visiting the EU.

No. ILR status is granted under UK immigration rules so it has no legal standing in other EU countries. She has to apply for a Schengen visa as a spouse of an EEA citizen
