VAF5 application form

Hello everyone,


First, i am the wife an an EEA citizen and I need help in filling the VAF5 form. many of the questions are very confusing.Such as;
-The emploment and finance section of the form. Is that part for my husband or myself. I read from a couple of post that they didn't answer that section. it also askes about if someone other than myself is paying for all or part of the trip
-When asked how long i will be staying, is it ok to specify a time frame within the 6 months visa period or should i just state that i will be staying there. we are actually planning to remain in the UK.
-Do i have to fill another application form for my kid that does not have an EU passport or is my own application sufficient for both of us since there are questions relating to those that will be travelling with me

Hi,

First of all can i ask why you are using paper form you can apply online for EEA Family permit. you should be applying online unless you are in North Korea.

The employment and finance section is for your sponsor to fill if he is already working in UK. You can put that your sponsor is paying for everything (if he is paying everything for your trip)

It is okay to say that you will be staying for 6 months and then you can always apply for residence card later on once in the UK

You have to fill another form for your child.

I am giving you this information based on my understanding that you are applying for EEA Family permit.

This is just my opinion but consult with someone who has good knowledge.

Thank you for your response. Yes i am applying for the EEA family permit.
I am actually filling the form online and got confused because of the ambiguity of the questions.
