If the mother of the child is a US citizen then the child is a US citizen regardless of the place of birth, no need to apply for a green card for the child rather apply for a US passport.gimli wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 6:41 pmThanks Max.
The child as stated is a uk citizen, born in uk. The question about the green card is this.
If I apply and obtain a green card through spouse using the route mentioned, is there a limit before I have to travel to the US. I mean if I am successful in obtaining the green card, is there any kind of time limit on it before I find employment from here on the UK? Hope this makes sense.
Cheers
Yeah definitely easier moving to the UK from the USgimli wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 8:38 pmThanks again for the reply. The bit about outlet son was a surprise to both of us. Had no idea that even though he was born in the Uk, due to moms dual nationality that he can automatically apply for a US passport.
Yes the general idea was to look for jobs after immigration visa was approved. Do you there will be an issue with that? New to all off this going the other way to USA. Was much easier for wife to move here lol
