maximun stay outside of uk

Hello. I recently joined here in this forum and I don´t know whether this topic was mentioned here or not. Next september Ill have 5 years living in the uk, but for personal circumstances i had to travel to Spain to recover myself. So, my questions is, how long I am allowed to stay outside of UK in order to not to lose all my five years so I can apply for my settled status in the future? In some forums say it is 6 months, but in others say only 90 days... So, Im totally lost at this point. Thanks in advanced.
