EEA Applicant - Daughter is Dual US/Polish Citizen

Post by quincyexpat » Thu Aug 30, 2018 5:54 am

Hello - I am going to be going into my biometrics appointment on Friday morning and wanted to make sure that we did not miss anything. I (US citizen) have been married to my wife (Dual US/Polish Citizen, Polish National) for 6 years and we have a 3 year old daughter (dual US/Polish citizen) who will obviously be traveling with us.

She is listed on my application as a dependent child, I just wanted to know if I needed to do any sort of additional application on her behalf. Since she is a dual citizen, I was thinking that she would fall into the same line as my EEA wife, who will be exercising treaty rights when we go to the UK (target move date is Dec 1, 2018)

Bit of background, I work for a multinational tech firm and they are allowing me to relocate to the UK. I have received the benefits package information and my family will be covered financially and with also be given private healthcare by my company.

Mainly concerned that I may have overlooked something with thinking that my daughter did not need any sort of additional application.

You don't seem to have overlooked anything. It seems that your family will be self-sufficient by virtue of your salary and healthcare, and thus you will be eligible for a residence card as well as for pre-settled status when it becomes available.
