FLM but no PSC appointments. we are in trouble!

Hi,
my husband's first 2.5 years is about to expire on 22/9. We were aware we can only start the extension 28 days and when we looked for the PSC appointments- the earliest we can find is 11/10!!

problem:
We are doing our wedding celebration (already married 2 years ago) between 19th september and 16th october. So we cant use the postage route!

clearly, this has completely slip passed our mind with all the wedding prep etc and totally was unaware you can get appointments 42 days in advance. ( I had call back the visa customer service back in july- there were absolutely no mention of it at all!!)

So what can we do ? Apply whilst we are in oz having the wedding?

Is there a way you could postpone your holiday? you are in a bit of tough situation as you cannot extend FLR(M) from abroad and your husband might have an issue entering Australia as his UK visa is expiring whilst he is on holiday there and cant go back to UK. But thats not the issue. All I can suggest is, check if you can postpone your holiday and keep looking for appointments.
