Maintenance of Fee - Tier 2 General Visa Extension

Hi

I am on the verge of extending my Tier 2 General Visa application. I wanted to ask if I need to demonstrate the £945 in my bank account for 3 months under the 'Maintenance of funds' clause as a part of my visa application.

I would struggle to demonstrate it as my visa expires sooner than 3 months and I haven't been maintaining the minimum balance. I pay the leftovers of my salary towards student loan every month. I am on a regular salary and fulfil all the salary requirements, so I am very much able to sustain myself.

Tier 2 extension applications don't have a maintenance fee requirement.
