Name (spelling) mismatch in my documents

Post by natraaja » Tue Sep 04, 2018 12:02 pm

Hi,

I'm working in a MNC located in India and our client location is UK. Now the client is sponsoring me for the UK visit and for a short period stay of 3 months.

Now i've a problem with my Name being misspelled between different documents. Following are details:

Name in Educational Documents: NATRAJAN A
Name in Passport: NATARAJAN A
Name in Company Documents: NATARAJAN A

In my educational documents, there was an 'A' (4th character) which is missing. So now as a corrective measure, i've now changed my name and published the new name in the STATE GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

New Name: NATARAJAN

But though i've published in Gazette, it would be very difficult to correct the name in Educational documents and hence it still contains the old name.

So i'm not sure if this will be a problem while applying for the visa.

I'm very much grateful to anyone who can advice me on this situation.

Thanks in Advance.

I dont think there will be any issues. At VFS, you only need to produce passport. and also, while filling up the Visa form you will be asked whether you have changed your name ever, so you can declare the same there.
