Tier 4 visa physical application never sent in, will this affect future attempts?

Post by Qpcubixn1092 » Tue Sep 04, 2018 8:07 pm

Hi so I applied for a general Tier 4 student visa. Completed the online application and went in for my biometrics. However I have decided I no longer want to apply for a tier 4 uk visa for personal reasons so I didn’t send in the physical application. Is there anyway for me to formally withdraw this application? If the online application is just sitting there is that recorded on my visa application history? Will this be treated as a visa refusal even if I didn’t send anything to the consulate. If I try to apply for a tier 4 student visa in the future will this be a problem considering I “applied” for a tier 4 visa in the past but never sent in the actually application? Thanks!!

I am slightly confused, because I thought attending the biometrics appointment and handing in the mandatory physical documents (passport and photo) are done at the same time. If they are done separately in your country, and you have not submitted your passport and photo, your application will not be refused but it will be rejected as invalid because you did not provide all the mandatory documents.

No.

No.

So I’m applying from the United States. After doing the online application and paying the fee you schedule a biometrics appointment. After getting the stamp for your biometrics appointment you’re supposed to send that biometrics receipt, print out application, passport, and supporting documents to the consulate where they issue the visa. Because I did not do the last part (sending in all of the documents) how will my unfinished application be treated? It would not count as a refused visa correct?
