Tier2 G Dependent Child

Hello All

I am on Tier2 G visa leave till 2021. My child was born in UK, April this year. My friend advised me not to apply for Home country passport or nationality for my child. He said if there is any problem in my T2G visa because the child does not have any nationality(providing home country does not provide nationality because i apply for it very late). Child will be given british nationality under stateless child rule?
I understand child will not be able to travel outside UK for that duration.

I saw an ad on TV by famous immigration lawyer claiming the same as well?
Can any expert please comment on this?
what are the risks? Is this possible?
