Ilr application SET (M) or SET(F) confusion

Hi All,
I am applying for ILR premium service appointments. I have 2 kids, 1 over 18 and 1 under 18. I know for my kid under 18 I don't have to do much as I can just include her name in my application when booking premium service appointment and applying ilr. What should I do for my kid who is over 18 , a full-time university student and fully dependent on me? The official website says he should apply separately and fill in the SET(F) form. Does that mean he should book a separate appointment for ILR premium service?

Just to experiment with things, I tried booking an ILR premium service appointment and added both children under dependent child. The system tells me to fill SET(M) for all 3 of us, including my over 18 son; contradicting what the website said. Should he just make a new appointment via different account and fill SET(F) like the official website suggested or is there a twist to it? Really confused.

I have decided that I will be applying by post or online and not be opting for the premium service.

If I do apply by post, should be allowed it to pack my form set(m) and my over 18 kid's form set(f) together?
As the 2 applications require overlapping documents and some original documents are available in quantity of 1, therefore, it seems to be not possible to post 2 separate application at the same time.

This afternoon, I was completing my online ILR application. In the middle, I was told that;

" If this is the first time you are applying for leave in this category, you cannot include dependent children over the age of 18. You can include a child who is now 18 or over who was initially granted leave in this category when they were under 18."

I am confused with the last the last sentence as it directly contradicts with what you suggested.
Does the line "the first time you are applying for leave in this category" refer to people applying ILR for the 1st time or something else?

For some more background context, I arrived in UK on 2013 on spouse visa with my 2 underage children. Now after 5 years, I am applying for ILR (the 5-year route) for the 1st time.

Dependent children over the age of 18 may not apply on this form, unless they were granted leave in this category at a time when they were under 18 and are now 18 or over. Dependent children aged 18 or over must show that they have not formed their own family unit or be leading an independent life.

Yeah, really cofusing!
I tired calling the ilr booking center, but the phone ends up redirecting me to the gov website.Not sure where I can get help. Any advice?

Yes that right but the condition being; “ unless they were granted leave in this category at a time when they were under 18 and are now 18 or over”.

Granted leave in this category? What do they mean, any idea?

I assume your son was granted FLR(M) before turning 18, so he was granted FLR under family route and therefore eligible to get ILR under family route
