TOC (transfer of conditions)

Post by flowerwalk » Thu Sep 06, 2018 8:54 pm

Hi guys

The amazing system works in such a way that I had to apply for my FLR(M) spouse visa in my maiden name, then change my national passport in my married surname, then apply for transfer of conditions (TOC) and pay a fee to the Home Office again :( However, the call centre is not helpful - in fact the woman on the phone really upset me saying certain things which I asked her to stop saying, referring to me being pregnant and distressed by the fact that she was mentioning some kind of a refusal constantly - well, that didn't help (sorry for the details, I just needed a bit of a moan). So I'm asking for a collective help here hoping that somebody did this before.

1. Nowhere in TOC form or guidance I found any information regarding what I should do with my current BRP (in my maiden name). I thought it would make sense to send it off with my application, but it is never mentioned anywhere.

2. In section 3 (paragraph 3.2 and 3.4) they ask to provide information about previous "UK immigration applications" made in the UK and abroad and when my fingerprints were taken. Obviously I applied for my FLR(M) visa and my fingerprints were taken. Prior to this I had a Tier 4 student visa which should also be included. However, before that I had quite a few tourist visas and one student visitor visa (all of them for 6 months). Do they count as UK immigration applications, or is it just "long" visas?

I didn't even get to the point where I was supposed to ask how long does this TOC take - does anyone have any estimates? It is what it is of course, not that we are given any choice, but it would be good to have an estimate in my head.

Any help would be much appreciated.
