Dear all,
I am currently working in the UK under a Tier 2 visa (valid from Dec 2017 to Aug 2019). I switched from a Tier 4 Visa and as part of the visa application I had to provide evidence that the government of my home country, who sponsored me as a student, allowed me to remain in the UK for the duration of the visa. The official letter from the government said that I had to go back in August 2019, otherwise I will have to start pay the money they gave me (this implicitly means that although there is a commitment, I am not legally bound to return to the country).
Now I have been offered a new job (I already have a new Certificate of Sponsorship – CoS valid until Oct 2021). I am going to apply again for Tier 2 (under the “change of employment” category) and I am not sure whether I have to provide an updated letter from the government regarding the conditions of the studies’ scholarship. I have not received any money from that scholarship in the past 12 months (according to the Tier 2 guidelines this information does not need to be provided if more than 12 months have passed). Do I have to provide this document again with my application to ensure a successful process?
Thanks in advance for your support,
Jay
