Joint application

Post by smiles321 » Mon Sep 10, 2018 10:48 am

Hi I had submitted mine, my wife and daughter joint application for naturalization and passport together using the Nationality Document return service at West Lothian Registration Service.

With in 6 weeks I got my letter confirming my application for British Citizenship being approved and asking me to contact Local authority for citizenship ceremony.

I am bit confused, it was joint application submitted together but only I got the approved letter, have not heard anything for my wife and daughter.

Should I just wait?
Should I call the local authority and book myself for citizen ceremony as it says you have to contact them with in 21 days?

Please advice,

Thank you

Although you applied together, each application will still be processed individually. There's no way of telling when the remaining approvals will come through so it's probably best you make your arrangements.
