Police registration for students coming from India?

Hi,

I got my Visa (Tier-4 general student) today. In the vignette, they have mentioned police registration. A friend of mine also from India got the same remark on his vignette.

When I checked with my college, they are saying that it looks like a mistake. May be because India is not listed under the countries which requires police registration.

Does anyone know whether it is required to go for police registration for students coming from India?
