UK Spouse Visa

Hi,
I have submitted my wife's spouse visa application by post to Sheffield on 24/08/2018, the package was delivered on 28/08/2018.

I just want to know what the next process is? Will I be sent an acknowledgement of my documentation by post or email (to date this hasn't been received)? Can one track the application status online? Will the final decision be issued by letter or email.

I'll appreciate any guidance in this matter.

Next step if its non-priority application you will hear around 3 months time, for priority probably 6 weeks time.
