Does pension "opted out" affect applying ILR?

Hello,

I started a new contract this month and I could choose to "opt out" the contribution to the pension scheme which leads to higher net income of course. I'm wondering if anyone knows whether joining the pension scheme is required for applying the ILR? I've looked it up but it seems to be unclear, or maybe i missed it. I would appreciate a lot if I can get some help. Many thanks!
