Standard Visitor visa Accommodation query

Post by arunsk » Wed Sep 12, 2018 1:17 am

Hi All,

I would like to invite my Mother-in law to support my wife at the time of delivery for about 8-12 weeks.
I am uk citizen and can sponsor (third-party according to the documentation) the trip and show maintenance funds etc but if the applicant is completely relying on third-party for financial support is it likely to get refused? Is this advised?
If this is going to be an issue, can her son provide the financial means for the trip and show his payslips, bank statements etc? is that considered?

With respect to ties to India - do they have to be in monetary terms? I understand that helps but if they don't have much savings is this going to be an issue?

The other question is about accommodation - do they also need to be residing at the same property? I am currently staying in 1 BHK and they may see it as overcrowding so my plan is to rent another house/room nearby and use that as accommodation proof, is this acceptable?

Any help is really appreciated.

regards
Arun
