Citizenship as an initial overstayer

Post by Skibiridim » Thu Sep 13, 2018 5:15 pm

Hi , I was wondering if anyone can help me ,
I’m about to apply for BC but I saw that I need a 10 years clean immigration history ,
I came to the uk in 2007 on a tourist visa which I overstayed.
02/2009 married eea national , after Long delays, in 07/2010 I received my 5 years RC then permanent residence in 04/2015.
My question is when can i apply ? 10 years after marriage or 10 years after RC received.
My understanding is by marrying an eea national you legally can reside in the UK, there is no requirement to apply for eea family member , does that mean 10 years from the marriage date ? Thank you in advance

You can apply on or after the 10th anniversary of marriage to an EEA national.
