Company joining delayed, visa expiring by 1 October

Post by vikascse » Mon Sep 17, 2018 11:56 am

Hello People

Need some guidance here , My visa entry for Tier2 general is till 1 October, however due to notice period reasons in my current company I wont be able to join my sponsor company in UK before 15 October,

Is that possible or allowed that i take a leave of a week and go to UK , take the BRP card and then come back to India , serve the notice period and then join the sponsor company by 17 October - Monday

Yes I think you can do this and inform new employer about your joining date.

Immigration only looks if you have valid visa. Nothing to do with joining date.

If I remember correctly, the guidance says that if employee doesn't turn up on first day, then employer must report to ukvi? Isn't that the case?
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

There are lot of people who receive their visa passport even after joining date. So I think it should be ok.
