Hi
I am Pakistani National and was married to Polish girl and recently divorced after four years. I recently received my visa after divorce right to retain visa and eea family member.
Can i bring my parents as eea family member in to UK for permanent. Because I am not married.
So just want to double check.
Thank you please help.
No.
A person who is in the UK on RoR cannot sponsor anybody else. Their status is personal only.
Once you acquire PR, as a non-EEA citizen, you will be able to sponsor family members only under the much tougher UK Immigration Rules. The EEA regulations only apply when the sponsor is an EEA citizen.
The rules for sponsoring adult dependent relatives under the UK immigration Rules are much tougher and it is unlikely that you will be able to sponsor them after you get PR.
